THE ROOTS OF HARTELCO
Hartelco started as Cedar County Farmer’s Telephone Company in 1905.
Over the years, our name has changed to Hartington Telephone Company, Hartington Telecommunications, and finally now Hartelco.
But it’s the same top-notch service supplied by our great employees that you’ve come to know for over a century. Now in the 21st century, we’re still leading the way as every single one of our customers are served by fiber optic cable – the same service that many metropolitian areas would love to have.
Internet service was started in the early to mid-90’s as dial-up service. Over the years we’ve made improvements to ensure that all our customers – even rural farms – have the same great service as their urban counterparts. We’ve now evolved into providing high-speed Internet (broadband) over fiber optic cable to each and every home and business in the Hartington and Bow Valley area. We currently offer up to 1 Gig download and upload speeds. Our minimum speed package we offer is 100 Mbps/100 Mbps.
We love our community, and do our very best to serve each and every customer. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with suggestions on how we can further assist you.
