Hartelco Email Filtering System
The filtering system emails you every Monday around 3:30 AM, and shows you all of the spam you received in the last week. If you did receive an email that shouldn't have been blocked by the spam filter, you are able to release it from this email. With this feature you can then go ahead and add the sender's email address to your contact list, so they won't be blocked again! Last month, the Hartelco Filtering System quarantined OVER 9,000 emails intended for Hartelco customers. Please call our offices for any questions you have when using our Edgewave Filtering System.
As seen on the news recently, May 12, 2017, the worldwide WannaCry ransomware cryptoworm was attacking viciously. It has been hitting even the largest companies and hospitals. We recently had two Yankton-area businesses get hit in the same day. Please follow these great tips given by our Yankton Computer and Network Services technician, Brian Kopp: 1. ALWAYS have your systems backed up 2. Update and patch your systems. Computers with out-of-date software are the most commonly hit. 3. Use anti-virus software 4. Educate your workforce. DO NOT click on ANY questionable links or email attachments, unless you know the source and are expecting the attachment. 5. Do NOT pay the ransom. There is no guarantee it will recover your files. Hartelco Computers and Yankton Computers and Networking are always here to help, business or residential! Give us a call at 402-254-3901 or 605-664-2222. Customer Propietary Network Information (CPNI) is required for all Hartelco customers and is very important to have. CPNI is the data collected by telecommunications companies about consumer's telephone calls and any other information regarding your account. Every Hartelco account needs to make sure they have a CPNI set up, so that in case of emergency a friend or family member can make changes or ask questions about your account if necessary. We ask each account to give us a 4-digit number for authentication purposes. We at Hartelco take your privacy very seriously, and we must be able to authenticate the people you add to your list with this number or in person with a government issued ID. If you are not sure what your CPNI number is, or if you aren't sure that you have a list or not, please stop by our office so we can help clear things up for you.
